Canadian rapper, Aubrey Drake Graham, popularly known as Drake, has stated that he will take a break from music to enable him to focus on his health.

According to the God’s Plan hitmaker, he might be away from music for “maybe a year or so” to handle “the craziest problems for years” with his stomach.

Speaking on an episode of SiriusXM series Table for One, Drake disclosed, “I probably won’t make music for a little bit.

“I’m going to be real with you. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost, and I’ll talk about that soon enough. Nothing crazy… I want people to be healthy, and I’ve been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach. I’m just saying what it is,” the Laugh Now Cry Later hitmaker added.

“So, I need to focus on my health, and I need to get right, and I’m going to do that. I have a lot of other things that I would love to focus on. So, I will lock the door in the studio for a bit. I don’t even know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or so, maybe a little longer,” he noted.

This shocking announcement comes after the 36-year-old musician released a new album titled ‘For All the Dogs’ on Friday, October 6, 2023 – which includes a song featuring his five-year-old son Adonis, rapping on song, Daylight.

Drake also used his son’s drawing as the cover of For All The Dogs and Adonis features prominently in the In Charlotte video, a song released along with the album.

Drake has been credited for his singing prowess in R&B and his ability to rap on several hip-hop songs.
