Most celebrities around the world consider each part of their body that brings them money a valuable asset worth protecting.

As such, actors, actresses, models, and athletes around the world have taken to insuring their body parts for millions of dollars. This move is just to safeguard their careers and to have insurance policies to protect their body parts should something happen.

Some body parts reported to have been insured by these celebrities include hands, legs, backsides, and smiles, among others.

Here are a few celebrities and the parts of their bodies they have insured:

David Beckham: Former English professional footballer, current president and co-owner of Inter Miami, and Salford City, David Beckham, is reported to have insured his legs for around $140 million through Lloyd’s of London in 2006.  The footballer and businessman retired from football in 2013.

Cristiano Ronaldo: Cristiano Ronaldo, the popular Portuguese professional footballer who currently plays for Al-Nassr FC, in the Saudi Arabian League, has also insured a part of his body. In 2009, Cristiano Ronaldo’s former club, Real Madrid, disclosed that the team took out a $144 million insurance policy on the award-winning footballer’s leg.

Daniel Craig: Renowned Hollywood actor Daniel Craig who is popularly known for playing the James Bond role from Casino Royale in 2006 to No Time to Die in 2021, is said to have insured his entire body while filming the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace in 2008 for $9.5 million since he did most of the stunts in the movie by himself.

Julia Roberts: Actress Julia Roberts, known for her leading roles in movies like Pretty Woman, Wonder, and Mirror Mirror among others, is also one of the celebrities known to have insured their body parts. The actress has won several awards, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, and three Golden Globe Awards.  Julia Roberts is said to have insured her unique smile for $30 million.

Holly Madison – American television personality, Holly Madison, in 2011 made a shocking revelation about which part of her body she chose to insure.

Holly Madison is popularly known to appear topless during segments of a Vegas show, which, in her mind, made the insurance policy necessary. For this reason, she put a $1 million insurance policy on her breasts. According to Holly Madison “If anything happened to my boobs, I’d be out for a few months, and I’d probably be out a million dollars.” She added that her breasts were her moneymakers, and as such, she had to protect her assets. “I thought I’d cover my assets… They’re my primary moneymakers right now.”
