The 56th NAACP Image Awards will be hosted at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, on February 22, 2025.
Since 1992, the award ceremony has been hosted in the auditorium fifteen times. BET is set to also broadcast the event live.
Submissions for nominations will be accepted from Monday, August 26, and by Friday, Nov. 8, all entries must be entered via the NAACP Image Awards website. However, January 7, 2025, is the cut-off date for nominations.
The NAACP Image Awards took place on March 16, 2024, this year which saw Usher winning Entertainer of the Year and Outstanding Male Artiste in addition to the President’s Award.
Victoria Monét and Chris Brown also took home numerous honours with the former taking home the Outstanding New Artist and Jaguar II album awards.

Queen Latifah has hosted the show for the past two years taking over from the show’s previous, host Anthony Anderson.
The popular star of Blackish, served as the host of the awards show for eight years.
Ever since its establishment in 1967, the NAACP Image Awards have recognized and celebrated brilliance in the following fields: movies, literature, podcasts, recordings, television and streaming, and television.
According to a press release, the program is dedicated to “highlighting artists committed to these values and uplifting values that inspire equality, justice, and progressive change.”

Friday, Oct. 11 – Early-bird submissions close
Friday, Nov. 8 – Submissions close
Monday, Dec. 2 – Nominating committee voting begins
Friday, Dec. 13 – Nominating committee voting ends
Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025 – Nomination announcement; public voting begins
Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 – 56th NAACP Image Awards in Pasadena.
