The official video for Burna Boy‘s song Last Last—a track on his Love, Damini album—has crossed 250 million streams on YouTube.

The engaging visuals continue to attract hundreds of positive reviews many months after it premiered in 2022.  As of January 19, 2024, the single had also recorded over 28 million streams on Audiomack (Africa).

Last Last has been a top selection due to its relatable lyrics, catchphrases, and soft afrobeats rhythm. It is, therefore, not surprising that it reached No. 5 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Chart in 2022 and 2023.

The melody made the list of the top hundred songs in Sub-Saharan Africa announced by Apple Music last year and again featured on charts in other countries, receiving certifications in Canada, France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

In December 2023, Love, Damini, Burna Boy’s sixth studio album, was certified gold in the United Kingdom after it sold 100,000 units. Apart from Last Last, the album is celebrated for other songs, including It’s Plenty, Dirty Secret, Common Person, For My Hand, and many other top favourites.

The album performed remarkably well on the charts globally, reaching No. 1 on the UK R&B Albums Chart in 2022. It also peaked at No. 14 on the US Billboard Hot 200 and No. 3 on Nigeria’s music chart (Turntable).

Love, Damini has interesting features, including Ed Sheeran, who added a sweet flavor to the track For My Hand. Others included Victony, Popcaan, Khalid, and J Balvin.  By the end of 2022, the album had appeared on charts in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Norway, and other countries.
