Birthdays are exciting moments, and everyone is familiar with school rhymes and other popular tunes that come in handy during birthday celebrations.

However, Tanzanian Afrobeats singer, Naseeb Abdul Juma Issack, popularly known as Diamond Platnumz, has taken the ‘ordinary’ birthday melodies to a different level.

Diamond Platnumz’s latest Afrobeats banger Birthday, which incorporates Amapiano instrumentals, will definitely liven up any party and is well recommended for anyone thinking of songs to select for their birthday party.

The production which opens with an acapella, harmonizes the flute and kicks perfectly before the evergreen singer steps in with his own unique voice.

The award-winning musician is one of Africa’s Afrobeats and Amapiano acts who has over the years demonstrated the limitless dynamics of the two genres’ rhythms and has successfully harnessed various styles to create lasting impressions on Afrobeats lovers around the world.

The 34-year-old has been on the music scene since 2010, stamping his authority in the Tanzanian Bongo Flava and other emerging music trends.

The universality of music implies that music lovers need not understand some Swahili or other African languages in order to appreciate his compositions.

A typical example is his 2014 Mdogo Mdogo danceable single which appeals to his followers in Tanzania and beyond, projecting all the elements of an irresistible African recording.

Apart from Diamond Platnumz’s latest titled Birthday, his song Shu which features the sensational act also from Tanzania, Chley, has gained good traction since it was released this year.

Some songs of the African megastar include Gidi which was released in 2022. This song is a slow jam that samples a bit of DJ Khalid and Rihanna’s Wild Thoughts and a few lines from Nigeria’s Afrobeats star, Wizkid’s Show You the Money.

Diamond Platnumz again displayed his versatility with Afrobeats when he featured Nigerian Star, Rema, on Gimme in 2021. Following the success of that tune, Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Patoranking roped Diamond on the song Kolo Kolo released in 2022. Diamond Platnumz, as usual, blended his native language and English to give this single the shine it deserved.

The two-time BET Award Nominee and holder of many music awards in Tanzania, also featured on the song For You by Nigerian singers Spryo, Teni, and Iyanya.
