Nigerian music couple Adekunle Gold and Simi shared glowing pictures and a love-inspired reel to mark five years of their marriage.
Apart from the pictures circulated, the Afrobeats singer and his partner are seen in a short Instagram reel with the caption: “Sharing, loving, laughing, giving, taking and choosing each other everyday,” as they duet their song titled Look What You Made Me Do.
Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, known professionally as Adekunle Gold, and his wife Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by her stage name Simi, began dating in 2014 and were married in 2019. They have one child and continue to give their followers refreshing music.
Look What You Made Me Do is one of the tracks from Adekunle Gold’s fifth studio album, Tequila Ever After.
Adekunle Gold is signed to Def Jam Recordings. He gained attention after releasing the 2015 hit single Sade, a high-life cover of One Direction’s Story of My Life.
He signed a record deal with YBNL Nation and released his 2015 debut studio album Gold, which debuted at number 7 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
He has many recognitions, including the Nigerian Entertainment Awards for Best New Act in 2015 and 2016, as well as the Headies Award for Best Songwriter in 2023.
Adekunle’s most recent single is titled Party No Dey Stop featuring Zinoleesky, which has so far recorded over 15 million streams on Audiomack.
Simi herself is known for hit songs including Duduke (released in 2022), Joromi, Lovin, I dun Care, and many others.
She started her career as a gospel musician, releasing her debut album in 2008, and became a judge on the Nigerian Idol TV show in 2022.
In 2015, she won the Most Promising Act to Watch category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, in addition to other awards and nominations.
