Snoop Dogg And 50 Cent Offer Hip Hop Legends Financial Support

Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent have been privately giving financial assistance to some struggling hip-hop pioneers over the years.

Snoop revealed this while discussing news that Rakim and Scarface had been rewarded with grant money on the All Smoke podcast.

Rakim and Scarface’s $500k cash

In October 2023, it was announced that Scarface and Rakim would be the first recipients of a new $500,000 grant from the Paid In Full Foundation.

Created by rapper Nas, tech investor Ben Horowitz, and others, it honors hip hop legends who made major cultural impacts but did not receive financial compensation proportional to their influence.

The rappers were presented with the inaugural Hip Hop Grandmaster Awards in Las Vegas last November.

Commending the initiative, he revealed that he and 50 Cent have been helping some legends privately.

“We do it privately. I’ve done it many years with some artists that needed help, that needed physical and financial help. It’s not a public thing for me. I’m not going to say, ‘I helped him,” he said.

Snoop Dogg advises young rappers to emulate him and 50 Cent

After his revelation, Snoop Dogg shared some advice with young rappers. He cautioned them to respect hip-hop elders and provide support if needed, even if they are too proud to ask directly.

“But you have enough man in you to say, ‘Unc, I’ma throw you something.’ There’s been many times where me and 50 Cent together have called some of our O.G.’s and put bags on him. And O.G. like, ‘Oh man, nah.’ We ain’t trying to hear that shit. We know you need it. Here, n-gga,” he said.

50 Cent confirms revelations

50 Cent confirmed Snoop’s revelations by sharing a video of his colleague on the podcast on his Instagram.

“”All facts @snoopdogg is the real deal no 🧢 involved,” he said.

Snoop Dogg speaks on relationship with Michael Jackson

Meanwhile, Snoop has opened up about his relationship with the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, recalling one incident that happened in the past that confirms that he and Michael were like “family.”

In an interview, he disclosed that he and Michael Jackson were like family because both their families were pretty close. 

“Me and Mike were family. His family and my family care deeply for one another. We have a record that was never released together. We never had problems.

Snoop Dogg rejects $100m OnlyFans deal

Earlier, Snoop Dogg had revealed that he once rejected a mega offer from OnlyFans.
