Megan Thee Stallion’s new album Megan has reached 66 million streams on Spotify, barely a week after it premiered on Friday, June 28, 2024.

An independent monitoring outlet released the figures and provided daily streaming data from the release date until Friday, July 5, 2024.

The impressive record in the first week, notwithstanding, the song continues to across streaming services, as Megan prepares to release music videos for some of the songs on the album.

Megan album has collaborations with artistes including Grammy-winner Victoria Monét on the rendition Spin. Other guests include GloRilla, Kyle Richh, and Yuki Chiba. It has titles like Rattle, Where Them Girls At, Accent, Find Out, Miami Blue and others.

Megan’s 2024 compilation is considered kind of a “rebirth” after she brought closure to the Tory Lanez shooting case, as the culprit serves a 10-year jail term.

“This is music I would like if I wasn’t Megan Thee Stallion. I don’t want to say I’m tapping into other genres. I’m just tapping into other sounds. But it’s still very much Megan Thee Stallion,” she was quoted in an interview.

The American singer has been on The Hot Girl Summer Tour, since May 14, 2024. Her schedule indicated a journey through 31 cities. It started in Minneapolis, USA and she is expected to wrap up her performance in Washington, DC, on Jul 27, 2024.

Female artistes featured on her new album have part of the tour, which is said to be her first-ever, headlining tour in arenas across the globe. Before announcing the new project, Megan Thee Stallion premiered the song titled Boa on Friday, May 10, 2024, adding a serpent-themed cover art for the song, which reached over a million views in less than 24 hours after its premiere. Ahead of that, the single, HISS, also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February.
