Lil Durk Is Going To Africa In December: Here Is Why

American rapper and singer Lil Durk will be coming to Africa after his collaboration with Burna Boy.

The rapper, born Durk Derrick Banks, has been announced as a headline act for Flytime Fest, one of Nigeria’s most anticipated music festivals, in Lagos.

The All My Life rapper is expected to to make a triumphant entry into the West African country for the festival which is slated for December 23 to 25.

Lil Durk is not the only American billed to perform at the 2023 Flytime Fest. Fellow rapper Roddy Ricch was also announced as a performer.

Hip-Hop meets Afrobeats in Lagos

The American rappers will be joined by some of Nigeria’s finest Afrobeats stars. Davido, Buga crooner Kizz Daniel, and Lonely At The Top hitmaker Asake, are among the performers.

Singers such as Buju BNXN, Fireboy, and Spyro will also grace the stage, demonstrating the Nigeria’s’s rich and diverse musical talent.

Lil Durk and Roddy Ricch, both renowned for their chart-topping hits and rap style, are set to bring a unique international flavour to Flytime Fest.

While the international superstars will undoubtedly grab the spotlight, Flytime Fest is not just about global acts.

A Lagos festival to remember

Burna Boy headlines 2023 AfroNation festival

Meanwhile, Lil Durk’s collaborator Burna Boy will be playing at the AfroNation 2023 days before the Amercian rapper’s show.

Organizers have announced the African Giant as the main star for the December 19-20 event to be held in Lagos.

Seyi Vibez, Flavour, British rapper JHus, and Ghana’s Black Sherif, joined him as the first set of artistes.
